Things I Love Thursday

Spring is in the air...
The flowers are sprouting up...
Bird watching from the deck...
New haircuts (but more importantly, spending time with each of my kids 1 on 1)...
Our new sectional couch (it's big enough for everyone to sit!) ...and you can't even tell that it flew out of the back of the pick-up into a ditch full of water on the way home :)
Daisy the Wonderdog... I say I hate her all the time because she's ALWAYS doing stupid things, but she actually pulled through and did something pretty WONDERFUL this week when she protected my husband from a pitbull that was about to attack them.
(P.S. I really don't hate her - It's just that the more attention she gets, the dumber she acts - I just wish she'd learn... and listen...  and behave...)

Cute Kids and Fuzzy Trees

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” ~ Dr. Seuss
To me, these fuzzy trees look like they are straight out of a Dr. Seuss book.
“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.”

Frosty

Woke up this morning to find a sparkly white frost covering everything outside.

Up close, it reminded me a little of my mom's shag carpeting in her upstairs rooms. :)

Monday, February 21, 2011

Last Thursday was our 10th wedding anniversary. To celebrate, we got to hang out all day. Ryan took me for a long scenic drive and then we went couch shopping, since we left all of ours on the curb when we moved a month ago because they wouldn't fit in the moving truck. He took me down this winding road that goes along the ocean. Very pretty, but I think I'll take my Dramamine next time.

Spring Buds and Chickens

It's only February and this tree in our yard already has buds on it. :)
And I snuck a couple pictures of our new neighbors while the kids were feeding them.

Blessings

"When I count my blessings, I count you twice."  ~ Irish Blessing
(All of them. I count all 6 of them twice.)
