New Haircuts

Getting ready for school. We got the school supplies, the bookbags and lunchbags, some new clothes, and new haircuts. They wanted short hair "like Auntie Maggie has" they said.

(E was a little nervous since this was her first time actually getting a real haircut, so she made M go first.)

I do love it when my 3 year old hollers at me and argues with me all day, because you know 3 year olds know everything. ; )

She asked me today if she could maybe have a tree house to play in when we move. And then she wanted to know if she could have a tire swing in the backyard too. : )

I hope that we can find a home with a bigger yard with at least one big tree for her to have a tire swing to play on.

Slapping Sharks

Because Shark Week was just on the Discovery Channel, and also because he was floating around in the pool today and I missed the last 2 days of August Break. We added some 'waves' for extra effect! : )

At home. We ordered pizza and played UNO. I should have gotten a bigger fan though because it was SO hot and SO stuffy.

The August Break

A little late, but I think I might try this experiment out. One picture (or more) per day, with or without words, for the last month of summer.

Random Thoughts

I'm still pregnant. I have to say that I can't wait to not be anymore because I'm sick and tired of feeling so heavy and huge and tired and sore. I'm sick of doctor appointments and people asking me how I feel. I know they just mean well, but it really does get old. I am also looking forward to laying on my stomach again and being finished with this crappy heartburn. And also because Ryan will be home for a few days and we miss him - (we haven't seen him since Easter break).
While I am looking forward to being one person again, I am also dreading it just a little bit because it means the end of summer and I hate when the kids have to go back to school. I don't look forward to the homework, the bedtimes, the stress of it all, packing lunches at 7 in the morning, and just generally having to follow a schedule, period.

And this crazy little bird is cute, but he continues to fly into our side window. He hangs on the edges and pecks at his reflection over and over and over again. I have to admit that he is somewhat entertaining to watch because he shows up every day and we sit around and watch him for a few minutes until he flys away again. I'm just wondering how long he's going to keep this up for...

She's adorable and oh-so-dramatic. She can turn the tears on just as quickly as she can turn them off and vice versa. With big brown eyes and a sweet, 7 tooth smile. She's been walking for a couple months or so now and she's getting pretty quick.

She's curious and funny. She likes to play patty-cake, push around toy cars, and splash in the water.

Whenever she sees a flower, she always wants to smell it. She really seems to like her shoes. She brings them to me and wants me to put them on her and when I take them off, she gets mad. She gives some of the best kisses and loves her big brothers, sisters, and dogs. She's my precious baby girl and she's a whole year old now (July 4th was her actual birthday, so I'm really kinda late posting this). And I get such a kick out of watching her walk around with her little mouth open, sucking in air right after she gets her teeth brushed :-) --Minty Fresh...
